Final result: Punjab Kings win by 5 wickets with 11 balls to spare.
Second innings, PBKS score: 98-5 after 12.1 overs.
- RCB bowlers have been mostly good. They have delivered under pressure and under low scores.
- Suyash Sharma has been a mixed bag. He has a great run of deliveries that he himself messes up with some poor balls. The youngster needs to put in more work to finish as strong as he starts.
- With the exception of Tim David, RCB batting has let down their bowlers at home. It is as simple as that. The Bengaluru bowling attack needs some help from their batters.
- Nehal Wadhera has been the pick of the Punjab batters, good showing from the youngster.
After first innings, RCB score: 95-6 after 14 overs.
- The RCB middle order collapse at Chinnaswamy has happened thrice in a row now. This is a bad sign of things with regards to pitch assessment at home.
- Tim David should be named the head of Rescue operations at RCB. The big man has done it repeatedly for RCB. Coming at the death and giving RCB some crucial runs has been a role played to perfection by David.
- Should David bat higher up the order or should RCB reserve him as their last resort rescue batter ?
- Liam Livingstone has been a liability. It is time RCB look at other options to bolster their middle order.
After powerplay, RCB score: 26-3
- RCB lose too many wickets in the powerplay.
- The outfield has slowed down due to the rain and has hindered the flow of runs.
- Important wickets of Salt and Kolhi gone early will have a big impact.
- A partnership is crucial for RCB at this stage.
