After their first loss in the IPL 2025, Royal Challengers Bengaluru will travel to the Wankhede stadium for the match against the Mumbai Indians. The momentum has been disturbed after a strong start for RCB. Registering a win in their first home game would have been ideal before going into MI’s den. RCB go into the clash against MI with more momentum
RCB have won two of their three matches while Mumbai have won only one of their four matches. MI have been struggling to find their form. Their talisman Rohit Sharma is yet to have any big showing with the bat. RCB, on the other hand have had a more pleasant start in comparison. The two games at Chennai and Kolkata went very well for the men in red. However, the home game in Bengaluru was an upset with GT claiming a comfortable victory.
Captain Rajat Patidar will have to better calculate their batting pace to avoid a repeat of the GT game. The bowling unit on the other has done quite well(touchwood). The likes of Bhuvaneshwar Kumar, Josh Hazlewood and Yash Dayal are looking a balanced unit. They restricted the CSK and KKR batters to 146 and 173 respectively. Even in the GT game too, they took the 180 run chase till the 18th over in the Chinnaswamy wicket. RCB, will be going into the Wankhede with slightly more momentum but to beat the Indians in Mumbai will be no mean feat.
